Having started his musical education at the age of ten in Lisbon, he lived in Berlin and studied singing at the Universität der Künste with the german baritone Siegfried Lorenz. Now based in Lisbon, Baleiro enjoys an international carreer, singing in venues such as the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Grand Théâtre de Provence in Aix-en-Provence, Cuvillés-Theater in Munich, Salle Métropole in Lausanne, Casa da Música in Porto, Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas, and Teatro Nacional São Carlos in Lisbon.

Alongside his concert and operatic appearences, he also dedicates a lot of his time to the song repertoire and to contemporary music.
